A year or so ago, I found Hallmark Card Studio 2009 (Hallmark Card Studio 2009 Deluxe) and installed it on the Windows side of my Mac Pro, and really enjoyed the professional quality card that it produced, especially when I used the Hallmark Premium paper. Unfortunately, a Windows 7 update occurred, and suddenly the program crashed, and no. The bonus programs for the Hallmark Card Studio 2018 include two programs from Summitsoft. I have been a user of the Hallmark card Studio software on Windows for at least a decade. Back in March I purchased a new MacBook Pro and have gone, for the most part, all Apple. The one exception is the Hallmark program as it was only available on DVD and not through the Mac App Store. The mac App Store does have an app called Hallmark Card Studio Essentials for $24.99 but is a scaled down version of the packaged version with DVD for $39.99. The Essentials version only has something like 1,500 cards whereas the DVD version has 7,500 cards. In any case still a small amount compared to the Windows versions at something like 11,000 cards.

Well today I visited their website and noticed that the Mac version is available for purchase via download and they offer a 30 day trial. I downloaded the trial, but for some reason it does not work at all. It starts up with the splash screen and immediately goes into the 'upgrade to the regular version' The bottom button allows you to use the demo, but when doing so all I get is 'loading: Failed. How can I try a software package that does not even let you open it. I guess I will have to keep my Windows laptop a little longer just so I could make the occasional greeting cards.

To me the benefit of the Hallmark product is that I can print out actual Hallmark cards in the privacy of my home and if I choose to customize and personalize them as I see fit. The Hallmark graphics and sentiments are what I like. Kind of like having the stock of an entire Hallmark store inside your computer. With your suggestions I have to take the time and design all the elements of the card or project.

With the Hallmark product it's like going into the store choosing the category and shopping for the right card. Once you find it you can customize it if you wish hit print and fold and mail it out.
