My TV is connected to my Sky box that has a Freeview card in it. Tv is also Freeview. I want to use the Fire TV stick but don’t have an internet connection to the TV. I bought a wireless dongle to put into the TV in the hope that it would pick up the wireless broadband.

At the time of purchase there were not dual band wireless LAN cards available. The computer came with a single band 2.4GHZ wireless LAN card. Our Internet service provider, Comcast, has installed a Cisco Model No. 3939 dual band gateway in our home.
