I just tried WineBottler for the first time and had a terrible experience. The download site is sketchy as hell, sending you through adfly with a bunch of drive-by download crap of god knows what malware. I finally got WineBottler up and running and installed Steam (no pre-rolled package, have to do it via Advanced).

And then Steam runs without a font it needs. That's apparently fixable but at that point I gave up on WineBottler. Surely there's a better Wine wrapper for Macs?
