You will also have to enter a credit card number on the Adobe site that they will use to bill you AFTER the 1 year subscription expires. The website will say this: 'To keep your service from being interrupted when it's time to renew your membership on November 10, 2017, we'll need to have a valid payment method on file. We'll always inform you before we charge your account.'

Then you click okay and it says this: 'Your membership has been activated. You're paid until 11/10/17'. In my case I already had Creative Cloud and Lightroom 7-day trial installed on my PC. After I went through the aforementioned process on Adobe website, the trial version automatically converted.
