Hey guys, Hoping someone can help me find the right emulator. Tried Google but I can't make sense of the stuff, bit of a luddite here. I know nothing about this stuff (or this subreddit), so apologies in advance if this is a misplaced request. As a kid my favorite PC game was Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.

I've been a Mac user for a very long time now, and the game was never available. I tired RCT 3 but it's just not the same. Recently learned about emulators from a friend and he recommended I ask you guys about finding one that could play RCT 2 on my Mac. Can you download notepad for mac windows 10. To further clarify: Wine and Crossover Games are both 'Windows interpreters' so to speak.

They read the executables and simulate (not emulate) a windows environment so that you may run windows programs on your mac. Naturally there's tons of flaws and issues, and may not work with every software. Wine is a generalized version of this, and is what I use personally (i've gotten various windows games running on my mac). Crossover Games requires a fee (it's not free), but is dedicated for wrapping games, and from what I hear works a lot better for people just interested in games. Bootcamp is Apple's solution to the problem: it requires you buy windows, and installs it and lets you run windows in it's entirety. At which point you just install and play the game as you would on Windows. Ultimately your last option is to find what's called a 'wrapper', this is similar to Wine/Crossover, but is solely for that one particular game.
